Spring Storm Preparation
03/02/16

Storm spotter training will be Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m.. The meeting will be held at Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center. Andy Bailey from the National Weather Service, Pleasant Hill office, will conduct training and information on spring storms. The public is encouraged to attend this informational meeting.

The city of Chillicothe will participate in the annual statewide tornado drill on March 15 at 1:30 p.m. Storm sirens will be tested at this time. They may sound more than once. The textcaster system will also be tested.

The training and testing of equipment kicks off our spring preparedness for severe weather. This is a good time to review what you would do in a weather related emergency. Always have a flashlight, nonperishable food items, weather radio, first aid kit, and a list of all medications.
